We’re Sanna-Kaisa and Riku, a couple who absolutely love dogs and have made them a big part of our lives. Right now, we compete with our huskies in mid-distance sled dog races, but we’re dreaming of tackling long-distance adventures in the future. At home, we’ve got 11 huskies – 10 of them are active racers, and one is a sweet retired grandma enjoying her golden years. We also have an Australian Shepherd, who Sanna-Kaisa does agility and search and rescue training with. And let’s not forget our orange, pointy-nosed Finnish Spitz, who Riku takes bird hunting.

At Pohjolan Huskyt, we are a small, family-run kennel located on the breathtaking shores of the remote Lake Venejärvi.

Surrounded by the untouched wilderness of Lapland,

our home is shared with a pack of energetic and loving huskies who are at the heart of everything we do.

 

Our dogs live in a modern, purpose-built dog house designed to meet their every need.

Their health, happiness, and well-being are our top priorities.

That's why all our activities are planned with their comfort in mind—our huskies set the pace, and we follow their lead.
